The Fond du Lac County District Attorney says he supports a bill that would make spitting at prosecutors a felony. Its already a felony to spit at police, prison guards, firefighters and first responders. The GOP bill would extend that protection to prosecutors. District attorney Eric Toney says he doesn’t know of any instance where someone has tried to spit on a prosecutor in Fond du lac County. Toney says he would support extending the same protection to anyone in the courtroom.
