2-26-16 walker approval rating remains below 40 percent

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — It looks like Gov. Scott Walker’s approval ratings haven’t improved much over the last seven months.  A Marquette University Law School poll released Thursday shows Walker’s approval rating at 39 percent. The survey of 802 registered voters was conducted statewide between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21. It has a margin of error of 4.5 percentage points.  A Marquette poll in January found his approval rating stood at 38 percent. Polls in November, September and August put his approval rating at 38 percent, 37 percent and 39 percent, respectively.  A Walker spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to an email seeking comment.  The poll released Thursday also found that 84 percent of respondents know photo identification will be required at the polls.  Poll director Charles Franklin will be a guest Friday morning on AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.
