A Fond du Lac man convicted of sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl is going to prison. Fond du Lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced Dennis Nickel Jr. to three years in prison and three years extended supervision. The judge also ordered two years probation. Nickel earlier pleaded no contest to causing mental harm to a child and 4th degree sexual assault. The 43 year old Nickel was originally charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child. Police say Nickel fondled the child on two occasions.at a town of Friendship residence.
