A Ripon man has been charged in a shooting incident in Ripon Wednesday evening. Twenty eight year old Lewis R. Sanchez made his initial Fond du lac court appearance this week on charges of recklessly endangering safety, possessing a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon. Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Gary Sharpe ordered a $1,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 31st. Shortly after 6pm Wednesday police received a report of shots fired in the vicinity of the Horicon Bank. Police set up a perimeter around a residence in the 100 block of Thorne Street and eventually took Sanchez into custody without further incident. Officers recovered a semi-automatic assault rifle.
