4-29-16 feingold won’t say if he voted for clinton or sanders

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — U.S. Senate hopeful Russ Feingold is refusing to say whether he voted for Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in Wisconsin’s Democratic presidential primary earlier this month.  Feingold declined to tell reporters following an appearance at a Madison club on Thursday how he cast his vote in the April 5 election. He said talking about his vote would do no good since his goal is to help unify both candidates’ supporters, adding he didn’t even tell his wife.  He did hint, however, that Clinton has the edge, saying Sanders has made her a better candidate and Sanders will do the right thing when the time is right, just as Clinton did the right thing by halting her presidential bid in 2008.  Feingold faces Republican incumbent Ron Johnson in November.
