Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a Waupun area home. Firefighters were called to the scene on Highway 151 in the town of Trenton Friday night to find the home engulfed in flames. The occupants, Jason Heeringa and Tiffany Dines and a child were able to get out of the house safely. A pet dog died in the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the family. Firefighters from 13 different agencies were at the scene for five hours. Agencies assisting the Waupun Community Fire Department included fire departments from Alto, Beaver Dam, Brandon-Fairwater, Brownsville, Burnett, Fox Lake, Horicon, Juneau, Lamartine, Oakfield, Randolph, Waupun City Fire; RIT District 2; Lifestar Ambulance; Dodge County Sheriff’s Department; WI State Patrol; DCERT; Alliant Energy; Red Cross. The fire remains under investigation however is not considered suspicious.
