2017-02-15 16.35.162017-02-15 16.35.03The Fond du Lac police chief tells WFDL news a high speed chase last week through a residential neighborhood is under review.   The reckless driving suspect fled following a traffic stop and led police on a chase that ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed into two cars and two houses on 8th Street.   Fortunately nobody was injured.  Police Chief Bill Lamb says the internal investigation to make sure police pursuit policy was properly followed.   “Any pursuit is very concerning.  Pursuits are inherent in the degree of dangerousness,”  Lamb told WFDL news.   Lamb says the investigation will include a review of the radio traffic between dispatch and the officer and whether there was any directive from a supervisor to continue or terminate the chase.   WFDL news talked to a woman who lives across the street with her two young children.  “Its scary.  My daughter was going to ride her bike because its nice out.”   Lamb says the department reviews every chase to make sure it was proper, or whether the chase should have been terminated to protect public safety.
