Fond du Lac city officials are reviewing a master plan for a citywide bicycle loop. The city council got its first look at their meeting last week. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the plan includes landscaping along the trail. “That’s probably the main reason for doing the plan,” Skiff told WFDL news. Skiff says the master plan also includes other items that are not currently in the budget. “Things like dressing up Hamilton Park, making kind of a gateway sculpture at the corner of Forest and Macy Avenue, doing something with the Quick Freeze site on the south side of Western Avenue. Skiff says the hope is that the Fond du Lac bicycle loop which now goes through Lakeside Park and follows the 151 Bypass will be a drawing card for local residents and even people outside the area.
