Republican state representative Joan Ballweg says she is confident measures approved by Republican lawmakers in an extraordinary session will be upheld if challenged in court. Ballweg also says she believes governor Scott Walker will sign the measures into law. Ballweg maintains the actions regarding administrative rules are a balancing of administrative oversight…not specifically targeting the powers of a Democratic governor. “There were discussions before these came to the floor. So what ultimately passed both houses will be going forward,” Ballweg told WFDL news. Ballweg says she is very confident that any legal action challenging the Republican measures would be unsuccessful.
