1-24-19 fdl’s holiday automotive announces help for unpaid government workers

As the government shutdown continues, Fond du Lac based Holiday Automotive announced today a number of methods intended to help ease the negative impact on government employed individuals and their families who are furloughed or continue to work without pay. “We want those affected who live in our community to know we are with them,” said Holiday Vice President, Michael Shannon Jr. “We’ve come up with these options to try to help out in a meaningful way.”    The basics are that any of the Holiday Automotive stores are offering specially tailored payment options for affected drivers to immediately address any vehicle safety concerns requiring maintenance or repair at a Holiday service center. For those not being paid, the dealerships service departments have been instructed to cover the cost of any needed oil change, which also includes a free car wash. To help those seeking to replace a vehicle, Holiday can arrange special terms that require no money down and delay the need to make payments for a period of 90 days. “Furthermore, we’ll gladly provide a gift card redeemable for groceries to these individuals as another way to help”, said Shannon. Furloughed or unpaid government employees are encouraged to contact a manager at the store of their choice, including Holiday Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, or Holiday Ford, Holiday Mazda, or Holiday Budget Center.
