Two of the four candidates for Fond du lac School board disussed educational issues at a forum Wednesday night. The YMCA’s Youth in Government Group hosted the forum in the legislative chambers at the city county government center. School board candidates Peggy Breister and Nick Teikfe fielded questions from the students and the audience. Both candidates talked about the need for transparency and working to make sure the district is doing the best it can for students and teachers. Incumbent school board member, Mark Jurgella, and challenger Richard Gedemer were not in attendance. School superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert also spoke in favor of the two referendum questions…a $91.5 million building referendum and $7 million question that would provide air conditioning at all schools.
