Fond du Lac police were able to quickly diffuse a potentially dangerous situation Wednesday afternoon involving a man armed with a gun. Shortly before 2pm police were called to a residence near Marr and 15th Street for a report of a man sitting on the porch talking on his cell phone and armed with a gun. Police chief Bill Lamb says the 19 year old man was despondent, but was safely taken into custody without incident.
