The Fond du Lac Police Department has a new Assistant Police Chief. Police Chief Bill Lamb has says Captain Aaron Goldstein has been promoted to Assistant Chief of Police. Goldstein will replace Assistant Chief Steve Thiry who is retiring in July after 27 years of service in the department. Goldstein has been with the department since 1998. In 2005 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned as a Patrol Division supervisor where he worked until 2009 when he was assigned as an Administrative Lieutenant. He has been a police captain since 2012. Four years ago Goldstein was a finalist for the Oshkosh police chief position.
