East Cotton Street from North Park Avenue to McKinley Street

It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Marquette Street from Arndt Street to McWilliams Street

Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 17 th to June 21 st : The tree removal contractor will be removing trees and grinding stumps.
Traffic Impacts: Marquette Street remains open to traffic.
Grove Street from Superior Street to South Military Road
Schedule: April 2019 to June 2019
Description: The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
June 17 th to June 21 st : The contractor will be placing topsoil for final restoration in the terrace areas.
Traffic Impacts: Grove Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or
to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
East Second Street Bridge over DeNeveu Creek
Schedule: May 2019 through June 2019
Description: No work is planned this week. An epoxy overlay will be placed which is scheduled for the week of June 24 th . When the epoxy overlay starts the bridge will be closed for about one week. This will restrict vehicle and pedestrian access across the bridge.
June 17 th to June 21 st : No work is anticipated until the epoxy overlay begins the week of June 24 th . Advance notification of the bridge closure will be made by “message boards” by mid-week.
Traffic Impacts: E. Second Street Bridge is currently open to traffic and will remain open until the epoxy overlay work begins. The bridge and sidewalk will be closed beginning June 24 th for several days. The traveling public is asked to find an alternate route the week of June 24 th . No signed detour will be installed.
Arndt Street Bridge Replacement, Arndt Street between Satterlee Street and Lincoln Avenue
Schedule: June 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes the replacement of the Arndt Street Bridge over the West Branch of the Fond Du Lac River. This project is a partnership between the City of Fond du Lac and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT).
June 17 th to June 21 st : The contractor will continue the removal of the existing bridge deck, piers and abutments.
Traffic Impacts: Arndt Street between Lincoln Ave. and Satterlee Street is “Closed” to traffic as of Friday, May 31 st for the duration of the project, which is expected to last until Mid-October. There will not be a signed detour but the use of N. Hickory Street to Scott Street to N. Brook Street or the Johnson Street Bridge is
recommended.
Bridge Sealing, Various Bridges through the City
Schedule: June 2019
Description: The project includes the cleaning, concrete crack filling and sealing the deck, sidewalk and parapets.
June 10 th to June 14 th : The contractor will begin cleaning, crack filling and sealing the bridges over DeNeveu Creek and in the vicinity of from south to north.
Traffic Impacts: Traffic may be restricted to one lane over several bridges. Traffic will be directed over the bridges by means of a “flagger” so at time there will be a delay to cross these bridges. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed to cross when the sidewalks are not being actively treated.
County Road V from Pioneer Road to Fond du Lac Avenue
Pioneer Road from Sherwood Boulevard to Wedgewood Road
Schedule: April 2019 through October 2019
Description of work: The project includes reconstruction of the water main and services and partnership with Fond du Lac County for new storm sewer, street, pedestrian trail, and lighting.
June 17 th to June 21 st : Fond du Lac County Highway Dept has started work on storm water installation.
Traffic impacts: County Road V from Fond du Lac Avenue and Pioneer Road is closed to through traffic. Additionally, Pioneer Road from Sherwood Blvd to Wedgewood Lane is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs.
Project Detour: North on Fond du Lac Avenue to South on Martin Avenue to west on Pioneer Road.
