1-29-20 fdl school referendum projects-the latest

The Fond  du Lac School superintendent says he hopes construction can start this spring on the first phase of a nearly $100 million dollar building referendum approved by voters last year.   Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the district is in the bidding process.  The first phase includes work at Waters, Chegwin, and Pier Elementary Schools and Theisen Middle School.  Sebert says Waters Elementary was built in 1950 at a cost of $1 million.  “All of the plans for the first four schools are complete,”  Sebert told WFDL news.  “The bids are out, they’ll be back within a couple of weeks.”  Sebert says the district tried to prioritize the building projects based on safety and security.
