Two Fond du Lac women were injured, one seriously, in an ATV crash in Fond du Lac County. It happened shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday on Safari Ln in the Town of Taycheedah. Witnesses say the women had been driving around the neighborhood on pavement and rolled the ATV when attempting to negotiate a curve. The operator, a 28 year old Fond du Lac woman was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah with serious head injuries. The passenger, a 36 year old Fond du Lac woman, was not seriously injured. The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. The operator is being charged with operating an ATV while under the influence of an intoxicant-causing injury, operating an ATV in a careless manner, and operating an ATV without an ATV safety certificate. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate violations of Governor Evers’ Safer at Home Order.
