Republican congressman Glenn Grothman says he thinks congress should hold off on another economic stimulus bill. Congress has already spent $3 trillion on relief and Grothman says he’s concerned about the long term debt from another $3 trillion package. “In three months we’ve already borrowed from the treasury, borrowed from other countries, whatever, $9,000 per person,” Grothman told WFDL news. “This generation is going to leave their kids with a much larger debt.” Grothman says the better approach would be working to try to prevent people from getting the virus. Grothman says he’s hoping the virus dies down this summer. “We can greatly reduce the number of people that get coronavirus, I believe, with people taking more vitamin D and people making sure they get out in the sun,” Grothman said.
