3-20-16 nra endorses bradley for supreme court

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The National Rifle Association is endorsing Justice Rebecca Bradley as she engages in a hotly contested fight for a 10-year spot on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  The gun rights group’s statement Tuesday called Bradley a “solid pro-gun/pro-hunting jurist” based on her stated support of Second Amendment issues and the Constitution. Ahead of the primary last month, Bradley appeared in a campaign mailer wearing a blaze orange vest and hat and holding a shotgun.  Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg has criticized Bradley as too closely aligned with conservatives. She notes Gov. Scott Walker has appointed Bradley to three judgeships since 2012, including her spot on the high court.  Bradley, meanwhile, says Kloppenburg’s support has been overwhelmingly liberal, starting with labor groups across the state.
