5-17-16 downtown fdl parking survey

The Fond du Lac Downtown Partnership is conducting a survey to find out how downtown business owners feel about downtown parking.  Downtown Partnership director Amy Hansen says the Fond du lac city council will discuss possible changes to the city’s parking policies at their May 25th meeting.  Hansen says the question is can the parking system be improved in the downtown?    Hansen says one concern is making sure that downtown business people don’t take customer parking spaces.  ‘What the problem really boils down to is how do we make sure there’s enough customer parking?  Making sure that downtown business people are not parking in those prime spaces all day long so customers do not have a place to park,”  Hansen told WFDL news.  The survey results will also be shared with a downtown exploratory committee at their meeting this Thursday.
