5-24-16 fdl police pinning ceremony

Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb says the public is invited to a “pinning” ceremony for the newest officers to join the City of Fond du Lac Police Department. After completing an intensive 17-week field training program, these officers are now ready to join their assigned District and Shift for solo patrol. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 3:30 pm at the Police Department. After a short ceremony, light refreshments will be served.
These newly appointed Police Officers are:
Joseph Belisle was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI. After graduating high school at St. Mary Springs Academy, he attended Concordia University of WI. While at Concordia he played 4 years of collegiate football and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy with a Minor in General Business. He is also a graduate of Lakeshore Technical College where he completed the Police Academy. Officer Belisle’s has previous Law Enforcement experience with the Lake Delton Police Department and the Fond du Lac Auxiliary Police Unit. Officer Belisle joined the Fond du Lac Police Department and began his field training in December, 2015.
Timothy Fischer was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin. He is a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School and is currently working towards completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Marian University. He is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical Academy where he completed the Police Academy. He was a member of the West Bend Police Explorers program and a Community Service Officer for the West Bend Police Department. Officer Fischer joined the Fond du Lac Police Department and began his field training in December, 2015. Bethany Johnson was born in northern Illinois and was raised in southeastern Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and attended the Law Enforcement Academy at Madison Area Technical College. Officer Johnson has previous law enforcement experience with the Marshall Police Department. She joined the Fond du Lac Police Department and began her field training in January, 2016.
Sandra O’Donnell was born and raised in Germany and at the age of ten left and travelled the world as a military dependent. Sandra earned her US Citizenship in 2007 and spent the next 17 years in customer service positions. She attended Northcentral Technical College in Wausau where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Certification in Psychology. Officer O’Donnell earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a double-major in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security from Marian University. She attended the Law Enforcement Academy at Northcentral Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College. Upon graduation from Fox Valley Technical College, she was the top academic performer in the class and was awarded the Gerald W. Mork Award for Academic Achievement. Her classmates also voted for her to receive the Craig A. Birkholz Award for Leadership Excellence. She has previous Law Enforcement experience with the Fond du Lac Police Department working as a Community Service Officer. She joined the Fond du Lac Police Department full-time and began her field training in December, 2015.
