Live music concerts returned to Fond du Lac’s Buttermilk Creek Park this week with some new safety guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Fond du lac Area Musicians Board treasurer, Bob Shirek, says the Music Under the Stars series features many area smaller bands and musical groups that perform throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. The first of eight concerts was held Monday night. Concert goers were asked to wear face masks when entering, moving about, or leaving the park and the audience was limited to 250 people. Shirek says the food stand, which is a major fundraising mechanism for the program, is closed. The concerts will be held starting at 7pm Mondays through August 24. Concert goers are asked to leave a 6 foot distance between other groups and to exit the park immediately after the concert. The rest rooms are locked and will not be open.
