A 32 year old Milwaukee woman received non life-threatening injuries in an accidental shooting incident at the Fondy Sports Aqua Park. Shortly before 12:30pm Monday rescue personnel were called to the scene on Highway D for a report of an accidental gunshot wound to a leg. The woman was treated at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for what was described as an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg, and released. The Sheriff’s Office says the woman had the weapon in her purse when it became wet inside the Aqua Park. She returned to her vehicle to dry the weapon off when it accidentally discharged. Charges of recklessly endangering safety and carrying a concealed weapon are being referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
