7-9-20 fdl flooding

The Fond du Lac Public Works director says this week’s  flooding  rain hit the city’s northside the hardest.  Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the wastewater plant on the north side of the city received about one and three-quarter inches of rain in a short period of time Tuesday afternoon compared to about a quarter inch of rain that fell at the Pioneer Road plant.   Skiff says as he drove through some neighborhoods it was very sobering because so many streets in a relatively small location were flooded.  Flooding was reported on several streets including East Johnson, Marquette Street, North Park Avenue, National Avenue and  Bank Street.  Flooding also reported on Champion Avenue and Division Street and Sheboygan Street and South Park.
